We are an expat couple from the USA. My name is Jo-Anne Prud'homme (31 years old) and my husband's name is Jonathan Wood (34 years old). We arrived in Copenhagen in March 2014 for work reasons. We are currently living in Amagerbro (Englandsvej 34D) but it is a short-term rental and now we are looking for a more permanent apartment. We have no children and we do not smoke. We both have CPR numbers and residence and work permits for Denmark.
Here is some additional information about us: I am a lawyer and work for a Danish company called DIGNITY (Dansk Institut Mod Tortur). Jonathan has just completed his PhD in Philosophy (focusing on Søren Kierkegaard) and works as a freelance editor and part-time lecturer. We have a very good income, and also good savings and good credit history.
We are both laid back and relaxed. We have busy jobs and work hard so we like our home to be calm and hyggelig. We are very responsible and stable. In our free time we like to cook and eat well--Jonathan is a bit of a chef! We also enjoy spending time outdoors when the weather is nice. I am an avid runner. We are also enjoying exploring and getting to know Copenhagen. We like to keep a clean and comfortable home. We have lived in apartments for the past 10 years, including in the UK and New York, and are very accustomed to this kind of communal living. We can give you contact information for our current and previous landlords to give you a good reference for us.
